1. Fill in the application form we will give you today or can be downloaded from the internet
2. Provide proof that you do not have any civil judgements via Registry Trust
3. Provide proof of your experience and qualifications at or above level 2 in Taking Control of Goods
4. Deposit cash or a bond into the court for £10,000.00
5. Provide two references one usually from a solicitor or the like and the other from a person or company (of the correct statute i.e. an enforcement company) who knows that you have sufficient knowledge of the law on Taking Control of Goods
6. Provide the court with the appropriate forms you intend to use in connection with this work
7. Pay the appropriate fee
8. Go up in front of a District Judge, who will interview and possibly test you on your knowledge of Taking Control of Goods and decide whether you are a fit and proper person.
9. Provide proof of no Criminal record.
Your certificate lasts two years and is renewable at that point, where most of the procedure has to be repeated.
